Goal-oriented and needs based clinical intervention that addresses youth with moderate to high level needs. Intensive In-Community clinicians provide youth and their families with an array of interventions geared towards increasing functioning of the youth and therefore family. This service is provided in the youth's home or an approved community location by licensed behavioral health clinicians with the goal of deterring more intensive interventions.
This service works in conjunction with IIC service. Behavioral Assistants (BA) provide supportive services designed to help the youth and family practice positive coping strategies as developed through counseling with the youth/family's assigned licensed behavioral health clinicians (IIC). This service is provided in the youth's home or an approved community location by a Certified Behavioral Assistant.
Mentoring services are designed to strengthen the youth's pro-social perspective and reduce anti-social peer interactions. Mentoring services can provide youth with a positive role model within the community, develop youth's self esteem, as well as with concrete services such as applying for jobs/college or building positive community involvement.
Parenting can be one of the most challenging aspects of adult life and this can become even more challenging if you have a child with unmet developmental or mental health needs. Parent coaching is a supportive services offered with the goal of listening and identifying areas of need within the parent and family. Once areas of need are accurately established a parent coach provides personalized education and support in order to support you in reaching your parenting goals and promoting growth through you into your family structure.
The Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths, or CANS is a communication tool utilized by the Children's System of Care to develop a uniform service plan in order to support youth and caregivers effectively. This assessment tool assesses level of care determinations, strengths and needs of the youth/family, and monitors the outcomes of interventions implemented. CANS builds on the youth and family's strengths to mobilize the appropriate resources in order to achieve the youth/family's goals.
